First of all I would like to thank everyone for the Prayers, kind words,well wishes and concern. For those of you whoe-mailed me with well wishes and offers of help, THANK YOU ! from the bottom of our hearts. We have not had time to answer the e-mails, but will has time permits. It is truly humbling, and I am taken back by all the great people here. This is by far and away

To update you on our situation, by the grace of GOD our family is fine. We evacuated to Lake Park, Ga. the day before Ivan hit. We stayed there for 3 days. When we returned, we found our house and property had not faired to well. We had 4 large pines and 2 huge oak trees down, 2 of which landed on our home. The trees put some pretty large holes in the house which in return allowed the heavy rain and wind to wreak havoc on everything in the house. We were without power water and phone until the day before yesterday. (boy does that stink)
We have since salvaged all we could from the house, cut up all the trees and covered the home with tarps provided by FEMA. I think the hardest part of this all, was watching the wife and son when they would pick something up of theirs that was ruined... and see the tears and hurt in their eyes. The rest I could deal with... but that really hurt me.
Along with all you great people we have also found that there are many great people in the world. We had neighbors, friends, family and complete strangers lined up by the dozens helping us get the house livable and cutting up trees. I was overwhelmed. We truly need to give thanks to the good Lord for being blessed to live in such a great country.
GOD BLESSAMERICA!
It is going to be a hard long haul, but we are on our way back!

A friend of mine has loaned me his laptop until we can get a new computer. Although my time will be limited, I am going to try and keep up with my teams. I wont however be able to join the Chase for the Cup Charity game as money is very tight now. This has been very costly to us with out being able to work for 2 weeks and having to buy a generator, wood, ice, eating out till we got power and water, etc, etc, etc.
I sure hope FEMA and our insurance company get off there ..... and get here soon!
Sorry I got so winded here. Again thank you to all. Hope to chat with some of you soon.

P.S. Have any of you ever had to eat MRE's? Sure hope not! Hope I never have to again!

I know I have not been very active in posting here and really only know a few of you. However I have enjoyed coming here every week and trying compete with the best of the best. I have had some sucsess and have had some failures, but have always enjoyed my time here. That is why I regret to inform you that I will have to withdraw, or put my teams on auto-pilot, as hurricane Ivan has made it impossible for me to continue.
Our house and alot of our belongings were seriously damaged or destroyed in the hurricane. My computer was a total loss and I am only able to write this due to a friend loaning me his laptop for a few days. Even if we had a computer, we have alot more things to do to get our life back in order, and my fantasy teams are not too high on the list.
I really hate that I will miss out on the Chase for the Cup Charity event.
Thank you all for the memories, and I hope to be back as soon as I can.

Sorry to hear about all of the devistion you have encountered Instagator, but as sad as your situation is, I am hoping that all of your FAMILY is OK, material Items for the most part can be repaired or replaced, People can not. Wishing you ALL THE BEST, and hope to see you back up and running in the very near future!!!!!!
Plus I am sure I speak for all here if there is anything that any of us can do, Please let us know...Good Luck!!!!!!!! |

| glad all are safe...........my family went through the same sort of thing in 94.......it`s tough ,but you`ll find you have a lot of good neighbors you never talked to before.......fema helps a lot ,and the red cross....insurance company even came through.........good luck |

Yo Bro. Just had to add the 6th tarp on the roof today.Little leaks ,not like ya.Where my dad has rented a room fer 7 years is unlivable.Stripped the roof to plywood and the ceiling in the garage & MB fell in.Lucky he has his motorhome here @ my house and moved into it.Fema will renbuse ya the gen and a chain saw if ya bought that too.Ya got to fill out a 5099B form or some #.My brother got renbused fer his gen fer Frances.Just glad to hear ya going to stay on-line with us all here bro. Lots of luv to ya family from the Treasure coast...

Dragon/Raptress, my families thoughts and prayers go out to you and yours. We are very sorry for your loss, and pray the good Lord heals the hurt you all are going threw.
Once again I am taken back by the acts of kindness from people I barely know. I returned home yesterday from a long day in meetings with FEMA the COE, and our Ins. Co. All that went pretty well, looks like we will be getting some help from all, maybe not as much as we had hoped, but it should get us moving in the right direction anyway.
When I got home, I had a message on my answering machine from Dave at Fantasy Thunder. He informed me that 4 teams had been donated and activated for us, so we could play the Chase for the Cup Charity event. All I can say is THANK YOU. I called Dave up to thank him, and we had a very nice and lengthy chat.
I also got an e-mail from another member (Ted & Lori - T&L Wheelock Racing) with an offer of help, and in there e-mail they gave me their phone #. I have not had time to answer the e-mails we received, so I took the opportunity and called them also to say thank you. We also had a great chat and I hung up feeling I had found some wonderful new friends.
Those calls only enforced what I stated earlier, this is
"THE BEST DARN FANTASY GAME ON THE NET! with the BEST DARN FOLKS ON THE NET!"
Ken, you were right we have met allot of good neighbors we never talked to before, not to mention strangers whom just volunteered to help. Fema, the COE and our Ins Co seem to be doing all they can, it just does not seem to be fast enough..lol (although we know they are going as fast as they can)
LittleMac, Sorry to hear you are going through some of the same. Hope all is well with you and your father. Wish there was some way I could help. Fema and Ins. are gonna help with the expenses as you stated, I just do not know if my hand can stand to fill out many more forms..lol
