For those of you who come to the forum and the chat room for good clean conversation and fun, please ignore this message. For those of you who want to "stir up the pot," this is for you.
The complaints have been increasing the past few weeks. I cannot believe that grown people can act as they do. As one player stated, these people are like dealing with people in kindergarden.
The pitboxes were to be for fun. Now it turns out that all of the fighting over the rules for the boxes has turned into a nightmare. One of the regional pitbox founders wants out because what he thought was going to be fun, has turned out to be nothing but stress arguing about trivial things. For those of you causing these problems, GROW UP!
I have received emails from people who will not go into the forum anymore because of the tone of certain people. If a person has an opinion and someone disagrees, there is no need for an attack on the person who wrote the message. If you cannot respond in an intellegent manner, do not respond at all! Quite frankly, how you respond to people you disagree with, is a display of your own intellegence level.
I have actually had people tell me that they are trying to offend certain people so they will quit posting or not play at all. How STUPID is that?
If anyone sees anything where a player berates another player, please email me at once. The person will be banned. Quite frankly, we do not want you playing our contest if you do not respect the players from our contest. We have the best contest in the fantasy business. We want the players to be of the same caliber.
Therefore, we will delete any post that is offensive. If you feel that is unfair, we suggest that you play elsewhere next season.
I have had at least six complaints from new players who went to the chat room to see what it was about. They felt that it was clickish and that people really did not want them there. When we were smaller, Paul and Val Adams, Archie Hazel and others were in the chat room on the designated nights to welcome new people aboard. If you want more people to participate, welcome them and make them feel a part of the chat. A good rule of thumb has always been, treat others as you would like to be treated. Pretty simple isn't it???
Many of you are in this thing to help us grow. We appreciate your help. You are the reason that we have kept this thing going. We give you a sincere thanks!
For those of you who are here to build your ego by making fun of other people, you need to grow up or expect to be banned. I am sorry it has come to this. But it is your choice.
If I sound mad, I am! We are trying to pull off a charity event for a good cause. We have so much to do this week, and I am wasting my time dealing with adults acting like children.
In addition, we are trying to grow a business that will benefit us as well as all of our players. Do not forget that growth in our contest will always mean more cash for our players. This cannot happen if we are driving players away.
Enough said. Let us put this behind us, and focus on the future.
Sincerely,
Dave Watkins
Our Mission at Fantasy World Sports... 1)We are here to serve you. 2)We will always treat you fairly. 3)We promise to maintain the integrity of the contest. May the best team win! Thank you for playing our contest! |

Gee name recognition is great, but to set the record straight, I've talked to good Ole Dave only twice this year, Once back in Feburary and the second time whenever the first one race challenge was run. His nickel both times. Haven't emailed him any!!! I know how rumors start, and don't want to be labeled a complainer!!! Just here to Win Money and have fun. So far not working out to good!!!!! |

I don't know who said what to who but I'm not feeling real comfortable joking around with people here since many seem to have thin skins and are taking this all too seriously.
Speedbump, let me have the final word on the Indy scoring problem. I can't speak for other members of the BFG but what realy pizzed me off about that is if the shoe had been on the other foot and it was a team belonging to one of the well known members of the Thunder Regulars I would have voted to allow the score.
