as the hand chosen future nascar champ.. I feel his actions were inappropriate.. and 25 points would be THE LEAST he should be fined... It is time for him to start acting like the reining nascar playoff chump champ he has been helped so much and chosen to be.

Hornaday and Slauter were fined, it would seem only appropriate that Jr get the same...but that would upset the fans and we can't have any of that now can we?  |

They should dock him 50 points...it's the big time (Nextel) not little (Busch) league...a lot more people were watching...LOL...of course it being Jr...they'll probably only give him a monetary slap on the hand and fine him 10 G's

I been rooting for Jr to win the Championship since...
...well since Tony got wrecked out of any chance to win it at New Hampshire!

Yeah Nascar's demize is gonna be crucial here.
Taking away points is a mistake, $$$ are ok if thats what they want.
I don't see points taken off the board in football, or golf.
Now since they have done this in the past before the chase, they have to be obligated to do it again.
I'm sure there is no hard published formula for 1st offense, 2nd etc.
This is the very thing that makes Nascar look like WWF wrestling league.
Tuesday indeed will be very interesting, and Nascar may help decide the championship as well.
Thay should publish something like:
1st Offense $25,000
2nd Offense $50,000
3rd Offense $100,000
4th Offense $250,000
5th offense $500,000
You have to put the Responsibility of the networks for no delay as well, as if they didn't learn enough from the Superbowl?
BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
I guess that would be easy, this is kinda like the yellow line crap at the bottom of the track at Dega.

Eh  , I think I agree with you TB, Cash fine is needed, and the race was over,points were earned, (it's not like his spoiler was too low or fuel tanks held too much gas or were too light) Like other, just say it had nothing to do about getting the job done..without cheatin'..............Peace...Like it or not, It's the year of the ........bawhahahahahahahahahaahahaaha! |

| I don't care if they take points away from him or not, I would just like to see nascar take a consistent approach to every situation. Hornaday and suater lose points, Jr should as well. No points were taken away from stewart when his car was impounded for a x measurement infraction, yet points were taken away from mc murray for the same infraction. Nascar should be fined and docked for their actions because their actions are detrimental to the sport. |

I agree with you guys, HASCAR needs to include, in the rules a penalty set-up and they need to apply them then.
as an eg.
First infraction for "conduct determential to the sport" as I am sure that is what nascar is going to hit Jr with, would have a SET AMOUNT OF MONEY OR POINTS assigned. Second infraction would be higher and so on
Lets say 1st time $10.000, 2nd time $25,000 3rd time $50,000 and then 4th time would be $5,000 and 25 Points, 5th time $10,000 and 50 points, 6th time..........Dam you need to be Muzzled......LOL
But I am sure you guys know what I am trying to get at........ This set of drifferent rules for different drives SUCKS the BIG ONE!!!

Agree also, Did'nt they make Mayfield or Newman go to the back this week for a spoiler being too low? I missed the outcome of that, Fill me in anyone?.......Thanks.......Peace (and was it fixed to NASCAR specs, or left to race like that) hmmm  |

It was biffle, and the crew was arguing because he was sitting in the car, which make it lower...LOL

| How can him sitting in the car have any effect on the spoilers angle? The only effect of his ass sitting in the car would be the distance from the ground to the top of the spoiler. Am I missing something here? I would really like to know what reason(s) nascar might have had for them to go to the extreem that they did? Did someone drop a dime on them? Are the binaculars that the spotters use that good? Did his car appear to be cutting threw the wind better then the others during the pace laps? oy vey. |

I thought they checked for angle.
I was crusing out of the garage into the house when that going on...
The crew was supposedly arguing about that???

Mike Helton, at the Drivers Meeting prior to racing at New Hampshire,
may it clear, Nascar would be handing out the same "Stuff" as far as Penalties, for The Chase, as they handed out for the first 26 races.
Helton then went on the many Pre race interviews and reinterated what he told the drivers and crew chiefs, Nascar enforcement would be consistant with Nascars reactions of the past.........
Tomarrow we find out if Helton has any balls..................

The only picture of Mike Helton with Balls I have seen is him with two Christmas Ornament Balls hanging from his ears........... with the caption under it saying "NOW WE KNOW FOR SURE MIKE HAS BALLS"
