IT ALL STARTED HERE BOO>>>>
Looks like it's time to table a BFG discussion>>>> The BFG is group of members that were Blacked Flagged From Ned's and some honorary member's and Spouses as wellwere added.
The BFG is Frozen in time in trying to keep it's originality. It went from about 22 to about 35 and was capped at that point.
The Thunder Regulars is actively recruiting members and are growing much larger than the BFG. Now don't get me wrong about the BFG, WE are a migthy bunch, were a group of players that took on a whole league and played very tough on all fronts, made playing a higher of play, that's for damn sure. But the way I see it, we are at a crossroads and it's time to think.
Thunder Regulars are crossing 50 players, because peeps don't any better and keep joining the old players, the BFG is not accepting new members, so the ending as it sits is etched in stone.
Options come to mind. 1). Retire the BFG as a pitbox, and keep honorary members as it is... 2). Add members to the BFG 3). Keep it as it is, and play tough
I would never ever join the Thunder Regulars Pitbox, thats why I started the Fantasy Thunder Players Pitbox, the new generation Player, that's what I am. Albeit some other Thunder Regulars are nice peeps, we've had our battles, and most of them are asleep at the wheel, you never see post, from the majority.
Some of them have outright said they hated us, and some do. So now is the time ponder... This is not a Thunder Regular post so keep out of it... BFG opinion needed, not BFG wanna be's. TB.

The BFG is now surrounded, Thunder Regs. numbers grow ,yet there is no Genesus to growth for the BFG. I personally think the need for this rivery,is an important element to the growth of this game. The number of Thunder Regulars that post and interact with members within this league are few, the growth in Thunder Regs. particpation is slow at best. Maybe a soulution to a level playing field for this compittion to continue, would be to limit the number in each Pitbox to the original number of The BFG that treked to this new land. Thunder has at least 400 old timers to select from. Let them recruit their very best and those will be those Thunder Regs. that are brought down by We of The BFG. Maybe that will awaken the Thunder snoozers.

I say One of 3 things:
1 Keep original BFG, and/or others that came from brand X. 2 Cap at 35, if Thunder Regs. Get a few division A,B & so on (35) in each 3 Bring it on! We of the B.F.G.are seasoned now, Ready to uphold all others have to bring.,We go with what we got, and teams we brought with us. We shall not be overwhelmed by any numbers, By any means! ........Oh, yeah Good Luck Regs., you'll need it! ****************************************Peace*********

well , I think that it is all mute.. THE BFG... has already accepted some that were not of the orginal BFG.. although they are of a mind and a kind as the orginal BFG members.. WE can't go back from where we are now.... I also don't see the THUNDER REGULARS letting us dictate the rules... we challenged them ..#'s were not discussed.. I never did agree with adding others to the BFG that were not orginal... but we have and I am glad.. They are one and all great people.. I do say that we need to change the name but the BFG should be included in the name..... I guess all good things must end...bummmer

First of all,I would like to apologize for posting on a BFG Only Discussion. I was not a vocal part of the uprising against those money hungry leaders at Brand X last year, for I only found the message board after all of you had been booted off the board. I did voice my total displeasure with their EXTORTION change to the unlimited trades proposal with an E-mail to some bozo over there and a copy of it follows.
Sun, 2 Nov 2003 08:13:18 -0800 (PST) From: "ROBERT DESCHAMPS" <> Subject: Say goodbye to Fantasycup game $$$$$$$$ To:
To whom it may concern, Well I just recieved the 2004 news about Fantasy Cup 2004.Just as Winstons involvment with racing will end after 2003, so does Fantasy Cup racing as we have known it.CHANGE IS NOT ALWAYS GOOD ! The best part of your game was the challenge of deciding what drivers to keep and which to drop. WELL, you can throw that out the window now. And why you ask,THE ALMIGHTY DOLLAR (OR SHOULD I SAY DOLLARS).If you are willing to throw more money at Fantasy cup you could trade your whole team. Those that can afford it get a big advantage over those that can't.I guess my $169.00 Fee doesn't get me on a level playing field with somebody who has X amount of dollars to spend. If somebody can't position themselves to have a good team at a roadcourse, now they just buy the team they want. HOW PATHETIC!!!! Change is good ,YEA RIGHT! As in everything else MONEY GOES TO MONEY.Goodbye fantasycup racing. I'll just enjoy my last three races with this once great racing challenge game and move on. HEY, maybe CHANGE is good, maybe i'll find a different racing game where my entrance fee gets me on a level playing field. Sincerly , Robert A. Deschamps I can't even consider myself A part of the BFG GANG. For those that were a part of all the B.S. that Brand X pulled on them, are the only true BFGers, But if you ever are looking to add new members I would feel honored, just to be considered.
If all True BFGers wish to keep the BFG a exclusive club, Then I wish you all Luck.
I Biffle ANG (formally DODGE9RACER at Brand X last year) look forward to racing with/against you all here at THUNDER, Be it part of the BFG Or some other clubhouse. RACE ON BFGers |

Retire the BFG pitbox. Surely you jest.
I have always thought of the Thunder Regulars as the 500 or so folks who were playing here before we found this land. If we are to be surrounded then surrounded we shall be.

i too would like to appologize for posting on a bfg only post but another option would be to have someone start up a new pitbox for the "others" that fit neither the clasic bfg and are too new to be considered regs... i would join that box but dont want to run it for sure... just a thought
but if that dont happen i would for sure consider joining the bfg

#1-some people just can't read. #2-it seems that my team has been removed from the BFG Pitbox. #3-i feel the same way about adding non-BFG personnel to our Gang as i do about the lucky dawg rule:don't like it.that is something that is EARNED,not just GIVEN. #4-to retire the BFG? never!! #5-keep it as it is,and play tough, that's what we do best!!!

Not sure if i qualify to post here or not, but I am going to .
I was playing at Brand X when the BFG became the BFG. Although i rarely posted at brand X, I did read 99% of the posts there. I did not post often because I share that team with a buddy, it is in his name, there for I did not post but a couple of times. Even though, I agree with the reasoning as to why the BFG left brand X. In fact I followed them here for the same reasons, not to be with the BFG but to find a better place to play this game. I was here a few weeks before I started posting, then I realized...in my opinion, that I was part of the BFG, just not one of the ones that got their posting privliges revoked at Brand X. That is why I joined the BFG pitbox.
Now on to the discussion at hand.....
If you use this forum board on a regular(no pun intended) basis, then your score can be used in a pitbox battle. That should even the playing field a bit, or wake up my regulars. Other than that, I will leave it up to the creators of the BFG to decide its destiny.

I noticed that your name is no longer in the Midwest pitbox as well. Or did you change it to Slipry Jay? Because that is in there.

Anyone new wanting to join the BFG must submit a 500 word essay on why they should be accepted as a member. (Just kidding).
We should keep our minds open to growing the pitbox if we want to stay competitive. The more people we have, the higher our average score of our top 8 will be. Either that, or those who consistently score high and win should share some secrets of success with others so we can improve our games.
I don't want to become a 500 member pitbox, but unless the Thunder Regs division their members, they will always have the advantage.
Hmmm.....I think I'm in a conundrum

I was never officially BF'd as I didn't play at brand x. But I posted under Twister's name and when he got the boot, I was booted as well. When I decided to play the game, I started here at Thunder and was welcomed into the BFG pit box.(MANY, MANY THANKS FOR THAT) So, as a member of the group, my vote is for the group to NOT disband. It doesn't matter that we be outnumbered, cause we will fight and fight hard againest all odds. I had some ancestors that fought at Goliad, Ken, and a great, great uncle that rode with Sam Houston and was his right hand man. Run from a fight? NEVER!!! It's not in our blood.

My Grandfather once told me "Boy! you got a long row to hoe, in life, if you can't outsmart your pecker! Now that beening said, and having absolutly nothing to do with this thread, I will continue.
Maybe some of our brothers and sisters were left behind, when we excaped from the land, of where they will get rid of you even, if your name is Ned. Rumor has it, Ned was let go when he refused to allow his good name, to be attached to the Additinal trades for money scam. You know, maybe we should invite Ned to The BFG. Yea that's "The Ticket" There could be others. Maybe we can restucture our band of Rebels so "The First" will allways be Remembered. I think the "Hell's Angles" have something like that, don't know for sure how it works and I ain't gonna ask! But hey! they take new members,I think! Besides I heard their initiation is a real pisser. I think if you played at Fantasy X, and You butted heads with Greg "momo e mono" and followed just behind us to the land of Thunder, you should be invited to join The BFG. There are lots of reasons for WE The BFG to invite, our like kind. Say we find one who payed for her college expences by working as an "Exotic Dancer" I say BFG. So we have BFG1 to show our respect for " The First" and we have BFG for our wayward family that were "Lost in Transition"

I believe we should accept new members and cap it off at certain number 55 seems to be the number everyone likes so thats thge way it should be.
Everyone has posted an idea now who is the founder of the BFG pitbox????????????
Who ever the person is who started the BFG pit box should let the original BFG post a vote.
Like this the original members have three choices.
1 Disband.
2 Let new members join and cap off at a certain amount.
3 Play tough.
A decision has to be made before the season starts. I am a founding member and I am calling for a definite vote.

I'm the founder of the Pitbox, but we need the Majority vote. I like the idea of adding members from Ned's. I also can live with it the way it is as well. I would still like to see the original group as it is.
My Vote...Allow members from Ned's>>> But if your a BFG, then your not a Thunder Reg, it's one or the other. tb
