Ok Guys and Gals, this is the PLAIN OLD FUN challenge. Here is what is involved in this challenge PICK THE TAIL END OF THE FIELD Winners. Or Losers in the over all aspect of the race. RULES ARE SIMPLE. Driver has to be IN the Race, NO Salary Cap, Just pick the worse 8 finishers, for what ever reason you think, Poor Performance, Accidents, Cooked Motors, Busted Tranny, Or just plain had Enough, ETC ETC... Just Post your teams here and let the FUN begin. AND NO TRADES once teams are made up. You will have until an hour before the drop of the GREEN Flag On RACE DAY (Saturday or Sunday), or Just slightly before, anyone who puts a submission in after this time is not permitted in this challenge, for that race. FAIR IS FAIR after all. I will post a MESSAGE at the end of the weekly POF tread around an hour before the Green flag TIME to signal the end of submissions.... The Prize Weekly BRAGGING rights plus SOME GREAT Overall and other PRIZES AS WELL....... Scores will be made up as per NASCAR Scoring...With one EXCEPTION, THAT BEING IF A CAR IS MARKED AS A POST ENTRY, (PE) it will be given the POINTS of it's FINISHING POSTION, MINUS any BONUS POINTS. To maintain overall game integrity, or a score of LESS than 356 would be possible, and the Perfect score game would be VOID. We all thrive to pick the winning teams now lets try to pick the worse teams!!!! Anyone can Play as well this CHALLENGE is FREE to boot ....
Now teams who are running for ALL First half Season Prizes will be averaged over an 14 week period, so teams that Play every week will be able to have their worse 4 scores for the challenge dropped. Please also note some games run for entire 18 week period, but even for those games all eligible teams MUST HAVE 14 actual weeks of play. Challenge is 18 weeks long in total. Also Gene and myself have agreed when Drops are going to be taking place.
They are as follows:
1st drop at week 5
2cd drop at week 10
3rd drop at week 15
4th drop on week 18
We will be doing postings shortly after, at those times to let all teams who are running for the entire challenge, to see where they compare to everyone who is playing for the Overall challenge. NOTE: this is for when teams are tied with the SAME AVERAGE at any time during the season, then the tie will be decided by those tied teams LOWEST Non Dropped SCORE TO DATE!!! This will also apply to Brand X POF as well, for those who play both games.
Added this year, weekly tracking can be followed, at the Tuner Forum Boards, for all to see at any time, PLEASE NOTE THE POF AREA IS A PRIVATE AREA WITHIN THE MESSAGE BOARDS, AND THEREFORE ONLY POF PLAYERS WILL BE ABLE TO SEE THESE SCORES AND MESSAGES. If you are not a POF Player and wish to have access to this Please send Gene or Myself an E-Mail, for consideration.

Single race prizes are just that. They will run for just that ONE particular race. As requested by the Contributor of the Prize.
Now here at THUNDER this message board has AN EDIT option, so any TEAM SUBMISSION that is EDITED AT ALL, is an AUTOMATIC DISQUALIFICATION, for that particular race, sorry but no other way of doing this, and CONSIDERING there are NO TRADES there is NO REASON TO EDIT. If you wish to correct an error, PLEASE POST another MESSAGE on the Tread!!!!!!!!! IF it is just a TYPO we all do it just leave it Please.
AS A NOTE TO ALL PLEASE, NOW CAR NUMBER AND DRIVER'S NAME, ARE REQUIRED. In case of Discrepancies, I will have some thing to fall back on. Also any last minute Driver changes made BY NASCAR or teams, I will deal with ASAP, once all pertinent information is gathered. Also I got asked this a few times last year, so here is how the order goes; CAR NUMBER FIRST order, and Driver name is second order.
Also need a score you think your team will get, this is needed for two reasons. First as for the first Tie Breaker, (second tie breaker is entry time), and Secondly for the Match your score game within the POF!!! THANKS EVERYONE....
Rules are for both half’s of the 2005 POF Challenge, unless adjustments need to be made for 2nd half. Prizes are for just the first half ONLY, other then the Most 3’s game which is for both half’s.

DAVE, of FANTASY THUNDER has also posted TWO, one race Challenges to the winner of the second POF Lowest average. Again teams who are eligible for this prize must have a 14 week average. Thank you DAVE for your donation.
The Honourable Mention Prize:
A prize from the Category Prize listings Below, Donated by Tuner, This will be winners choice unless other prizes have been won, then unfortunately it will be the last Prize Standing. To the Lowest 1st half of challenge, of the opposite sex to the Overall winner. This will again give us a One Main overall winner and an Honourable mention winner as well.

CRAZYGENE has donated a ONE RACE CHALLENGE entry for later this year, to the Mystery Winner, of the 1st HALF CHALLENGE........ THANK YOU CRAZYGENE!!!! In case of a TIE, then for the teams that are tied, will go to second tie breaker... if still tied will go to third, four and so on... till a WINNER is Crowned... Must also have a 14 week average to be eligible. (Note if anyone wishes to see how this prize was to be distributed after the end of 1st half challenge, I have the dated e-mail with Gene’s Offer, ask at that time Please)
FOUR WIDE has donated a ONE RACE CHALLENGE entry here at Thunder for later this Year, in 2nd half, to the TEAM that gets the LOWEST single score over the First Half of the challenge. The reason I am posting this prize here is that if BY CHANCE, the Lowest score is the FRED & BARNEY's Perfect score, then you are not eligible for this prize, if that is the case it will go to the second LOWEST season single race score. If the Perfect score is not a factor then LOWEST season score is the WINNER here. In case of a tie, for those teams that are tied then it will be the second lowest score for those teams, if still tied then third and so on and so on till there is a winner. Thank You Four Wide for your Prize Donation. Must also have a 14 week average to be eligible.
PRIZE of $50.00 to the "FIRST PERSON' to get a PERFECT score of 356, DONATED BY FRED AND BARNEY, THE "YABA DABA DO" prize!!! THANKS FRED AND BARNEY for your donation. THIS IS A HARD ONE TO WIN, but I am sure it is not IMPOSSIBLE!!!! To clarify this to all basically you need to get the right 8 driver to fall out of race that will place them in finishing positions 36 to 43 and hopefully they did not get BONUS points since I DO USE NASCAR SCORING to do POF TEAM totals, and have done so from beginning of this challenge!!!!!!!!! AS a note in case of a TIE, Prize will go to FIRST team entry!!!! That would be MISSION IMPOSSIBLE but hey never know.....
The MOST 3’s Game DONATED BY HALF FAST, and TUNER, one car per challenge. This is very simple in reality, as the game name is called the winner will be the One who has got the Most 3’s in their ACTUAL POF weekly scores, over the duration of the 1st and 2nd half of POF challenge. But here is the catch any SCORE that is DROPPED is not counted in this game. Also winner must have a 14 week average to be able to win one of these Prizes. In case of a TIE, tie breaker will be the team with the LOWEST NONE DROPPED SCORE with a “3” in it. For example Team AAA, has following scores 403,433,730,463,and 523. for a 5 week period that team would have the Number “3” SIX times, but after the drop of score ‘730’ they would be down to only FIVE. Hope this helps to explain the way this game is run.
Now for the choice of prize for this game, and they are Nice ones. Half Fast Donation, consisting of a 1/24th scale Die Cast Car. It is the #3 Oreo car that Dale Earnhardt Sr. was driving the day he Passed On at Daytona. It is new, in mint condition, in the original box, made by Revell Select. It is the #3, Nascar 50th Anniversary, Dale Earnhardt Sr. 1998 Gold and Black Bass Pro Shops Car" made by Brookfield Guild. Note 1st half winner will have their choice and remaining car goes into the 2nd half POF challenge!! Plus this will permit Half Fast and Myself to play and enjoy this game!
SPEIR RACIN, aka BAMA, has donated an 1999 Jeff Gordon Dupont Rainbow Warriors 1/24 Car, to the team who gets the MOST 2nd PLACE finishes over the ENTIRE 18 week duration of the 1st half of the 2005 POF challenge. So the Dropped scores do not come into play here, and since the odds of having a 2nd place score dropped are slim as is. So the more weeks you enter the better your odds. Again thou must have 14 weeks of Play to be eligible for this prize. In case of a tie, the tie breaker will be the team with the Lowest 2nd place score, if still tied then will go to the team with the LOWEST score for those respective tied teams. TAMMY aka TAMDAM, has donated a prize of $30.00. game to be called “THANKS MARK MARTIN-MYERS PRIZE”. In honour of two retiring drivers Mark Martin her Favourite, and Terry Labonte, (6 X 5 = $30, but in reality Tammy and myself think it should be Mark’s car number, times the number of Championships Mark should of have won, Know I do) to the team who gets the MOST 6’s during the first half of the POF challenge. For the entire 18 challenge period, must have 14 weeks of play, to be eligible to win this as well. Now here it will be ALL ACTAUL SCORES with a 6 in them are counted, just to be different from the Most 3’s game. For a Tie breaker, from the tied teams it will be the team with the LOWEST 6 in NONE DROPPED SCORES, this time!! Thanks for you Donation Tammy.
KEN of Ken’s Racers, has Donated an Entry to a One Race Challenge here at Thunder, to the Team who has the 10th Place Lowest average, after dropped scoring on week 10. Again for a team to win, must have enough weeks to average to this point. (7 Weeks of actual Play, since this is aprox. The Half way point of the first half). As for tie breakers in case more then one team has the same average for that position, it will be the team with the LOWEST score to that point. Thank You for your donation Ken.
As for the next Prize Groupings they are a bit different. Here is how they can be WON.
Category 1
The Correct Scoring Game, your guessed score MUST match, to your POF team total score for Prize!!!!!!!! , (FIRST TEAM as per entry time in case of a tie here as well), that guesses their right score!! teams must match guess with actual score for respective race!!! This will run for the entire First half of challenge, or until there is a WINNER!!!
This score will also be used for a FIRST TIE BREAKER as well..
Category 2
This is the HAT TRICK Prize, Get 3 Lowest scores 3 weeks in a ROW and you are a WINNER. Again this will run for the entire First half or until there is a WINNER!!!!
For the CATEGORY 1 and 2 Winners, and Honourable Mention place in season standings. They will have a choice of what prize package they wish. Once that package is taken, next winner will have other 2 to choice from, and so on.

I WILL DONATE A PRIZE OF A TWO COMMERATIVE COIN BOARD (Brand new still in original wrapping, suitable for framing, if one wishes) with stats and VERY LIMITED EDITION NUMBERED. One consisting of a 1895-1995 VAVOLINE 100 Years of RACING and their Driver at the time, MARK MARTIN made by TRAX. And the other is of a 1994 Ernie Irvan made by TRAX, with stats and a copy of a letter from Ernie and wife Kim, on the back, thanking people for their thoughts and prayers, after his Accident.
