I work swing shift

Does anybody else here do that?

Saw where Powerstroker works 7 straight 12's then 7 straight days off...the 7 straight 12's have got to be Killer.

We change shifts every week & it rotates backwards 3,2,1 on top of that we've been workin 6 days on every shift plus a lot of OT...if your relief doesn't show, it's mandatory OT 4 hrs....not complaining cause its good $....just not the best way of living, escpecially now that I am married with children....how I'd love to work a straight shift

Soon I will be going to a 7 day schedule...over half of my department is already on it...a 12 hr schedule similar to Strokes except over a 2 week period you work mon, tue OFF wed thur work fri, sat, sun OFF mon, tue work wed, thu Off fri, sat, sun......however a vote is gonna be taken sometime soon to see if we would rather work 6 8 hr days off 2 still swingin shifts with 4 gangs instead of 3 for the continous 7 day operations

Bottom line is the economy is good
