After studing all the facts, I now believe that I can predict who the winner of the 2004 Chase for the Championship will be. Below are the top 10 in points and the reasons that they are either still in the running for the Championship or are no longer in the running!!
1. Jimmy Johnson............By Jimmy placing the Lowes sign in front of the powerade bottles at Pocono he has effectively removed himself from the Chase. Sorry Jimmy you had a good run going there!!
2. Jeff Gordon..............See above explanation!! Actually Jeff may be the one who started this unforgivable practice and is a multiple violator!
3. Dale Jr...............The incident at Bristol effectively ended Jr's hope of winning the title this year!! Spinning on purpose is part of the rule 12-4A actions deemed detrimental..........
4. Matt Kenseth.................Matts bumper car incident with Kevin Harvick at New Hampshire messed up an otherwise perfectly ran race by Mike Helton and staff. Sorry Matt you also are no longer in the running to repeat as champion in 2004. Try again next year!!
5. Tony Stewart................Tony messed up another otherwisw flawless season by knocking the Tropicana cartons off the top of the car after his win at Chicago!! Like the above drivers Tony will have to try again later.
6. Elliot Sadler..............After checking all avaiable information I can find no infractions by Elliot!!
7. Kurt Busch...................Kurt was caught standing in front of the Gatorade sign after his win at Bristol!! NASCAR has found his actions to be Deemed Detrimental to the sport!! Sorry Kurt no championship this year, AND maybe not next year as well!! Mike is stilll fuming over that deal with Jimmy!!
8. Ryan Newman..................Seems Ryan was found guilty of knocking the powerade bottles off his winning car at Michigan!! Close inspection of the film shows that the wind may have played a part in the bottles being removed, BUT a rule is a rule and Ryan and several other drivers will now be subject to stricker enforcement of the "Pre and Post race inspection" process!!
9. Bobby Labonte..................Bobby was caught standing in front of the Busch sign after his Pole winning run at Texas!!! Rule 12-4A concerns actions Deemed Detrimental to the sport!! A Good guy......Gone bad!! Bobby needs to try to get a handle on this problem. Hoping he can talk with teammate Tony Stewart and get back on track!!
10. Kevin Harvick...................Kevins incident with Matt Kenseth has ended his title hopes as well! Mr Helton and staff runs a tight ship and do expect everyone else to do the same!!
To sum up.....looks like Elliot Sadler has this Championship in the bag!!! One by one the drivers have eliminated theirselfs from the running!! To those drivers no longer in the chase for the Championship, get the rule book out in the off season and read up on the section that starts Rule 12-4A Actions deemed Detrimental to the sport of Stock car Racing!! Obey all rules in the hand book. Pass only when you are sure its completly safe to do so. Only pretend to show emotion of joy in victory lane, keep all other emotions tucked safely away!! Its very important that all the sponsors get their moneys worth and that the race fits within the allotted television time! Remember we are one big happy family in NASCAR!! Hope to see you guys back in the chase next year!! |

NOW NOW both of you guys are DEAD WRONG, the winner of this Nextel Cup 2004 is none other THAN MONEY HUNGRY, DO NOT GIVE A CRAP, DO IT MY WAY OR HIT THE HIGHWAY, WHO NEEDS LOYAL FANS, BRIAN FRANCE, he is the one who is getting the biggest check this year hands down!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now Tuner,,, I was a part time fishing guide for about 10 yrs., and I had a saying then that I will update now," If you don't trust your used car dealer;T.V. preacher; fishing guide; OR Nascar Braintrust; who can you trust?????

OK Roundman, you got me guess I need to trust in Brain France, so in saying that I TRUST BRIAN to SCREW this Great Sport that we all Love called NASCAR into the ground!!!!!!!!
