What a storm!! I live just about in the middle of the OKLA. (west of OKC bout 22 miles.)The remnants of tropical storm or hurricane Aaron had moved up into OK from TX and pretty much reformed. I know that doesn't sound right, being overland, but if anyone saw radar in Okla last night (actually early this morning) you would know what i mean. There was an actual eye of the storm that formed and a huge comma circulation. I have been into weather ever since i can remember and have never seen such a storm in this state. It lacked the springtime tornadoes, but had the wind and rain. From N-NW of my location about 40 miles all the way to south border.(red river) and the entire SW part of state, everyone got over 7 inches of rain.
Here in EL Reno we got 6 inches in 3 hours. 8.2 inches in 7 hours. It all took place from about midnight to 7 AM.
About 11:30 am on TV they was showing on TV a town north of here where the water rose 3 foot in the middle of town in 30 minutes in a flash flood. They were asking for rescue helicopters for all the people getting on their roofs. Darn TV went to covering something else at noon, so don't know what's happening now.
I have never seen such a rain for such a long period of time. Also so much water around my house.

Plus from a weatherperson point of view it was awesome to watch on TV radar.

somehow they have electricity. most all of the area around them is without electricity.

I have lived in this town off and on for 40 years and it is the worst flooding this town has seen in that time.

correction from original post:local weather has stated that the sustained 50 mile per hour winds NW of here appx 40-50 miles was for 3 hours instead of 2, and gusts were to 82 mph. and the storms name was Erin instead of Aaron.

Pretty freaky

Bru, they are OK. talked to Sis yesterday. Water was all around their house but she said they were safe. Internet was knocked out. They live in the area where the winds during storm were 50-60 miles per hour constant with gusts to 75 for 2 hours solid. according to news. couple of nearby towns were very hard hit. not counting the one that got flash flooded yesterday. Gonna call her again later today.
Thanks for asking Bru, they'll preciate it

Twister Jim,

Are Hoot, Sis and honeybee okay? Haven't seen any posts from them and they're usually in the side games, honeybee is even leading P-10.
