Grand Prize Checks

The checks for Grand Prize winners who had taxes taken out due to the size of the check were mailed on 12-31-01. The remainder of the checks will be written and mailed over the next few days. All checks will be mailed on or before 1-07-02 which is the 45 day waiting period.
If you have a check coming and wish to trade it in for credit on a 2002 team contact us by e-mail or phone before January 7th.

Second Half 2001 Official!

The results for the Second Half of the 2001 Season have been declared official! 53 Team Owners will receive Grand Prize Checks.
The Champion is Archie Hazel. Archie will take home the 1st Grand Prize of $5000 competing against 531 Team Owners. Archie was not really in any trouble in the final race at New Hampshire. None of the other contenders could mount a charge to catch him.
The Combined Season Scoring Champion was Doug Seiler. Doug barely held on to win by just over 25 points. Doug had such a bad score at New Hampshire that his next lowest score of 885 came back into play from race 5. This allowed him to hold on for the $1500 1st Grand Prize! Doug competed against 300 Team Owners in this optional part of the contest. 30 Team Owners will receive Grand Prize Checks for the Combined Season Scoring Competition.

Signup and Renew

The Signup and Renew sections are now operational. The Signup section can be reached either through the Sign Up Now button in the upper left, or through the Play section.
Returning players should log in to the Members section to renew their teams, or create new ones.
Note that the Free Play option will not be available until mid-January.

2002 Driver Values

The Driver Values for the first half of the 2002 season are now posted. They can be found in the Rules and Information section. The values are for the first three races only. After that they will change every race based on finishing position only. For more information go to the Driver Value Formula page.

Rules & Information Section Operational

The Rules & Information section of the 2002 version of Fantasy Thunder is now functional.
Currently, only the Rules and Winston Cup Scoring subsections have been completed within this section, and that information maybe be out of date for the 2002 season, so watch the Fantasy Thunder News for further updates.
