The results are now official for the Martinsville 500. Second Half, Race 15 results are now posted for members to see. The weekly winning teams can be viewed by clicking on the Weekly Winner's link found in the Prizes and Past Winner's Section. They can be viewed by the general public.

Robin Marlin New Leader

Robin Marlin (Rockin Robin) jumped from 3rd to 1st place at Martinsville. Conrad Welbon (Kogwel Racing) fell to 5th but trails our new leader by only 89 points.
Another first year player jumped to 2nd place. Harry Meeks Team Owner of Jasper trails Robin by 21 points. As noted last week Robin is another first year Team Owner.
Former 2nd Half leader Hal Hicks (HRH Sports) is now in 3rd place. Former Champion Gary Bitner (ICFY 2) has moved up to 4th place again.
In the Combined Season Championship Phil Rushing increased his lead to 171.84 points. Steve Meyer is still in 2nd place. Conrad Welbon is now in 3rd and Greg Williams (G-Force) has moved into 4th.
Patty Streeter (Patty Cakes) has moved into the top 5 for the first time. Patty trails our leader by 408.96 points.
Patty has played since our 2nd Season. Her husband Frank got her started. In fact Frank has over 20 family and friends playing the contest. The competition is fierce. I am sure the men of the family are not happy with Patty and will do everything in their power to pass her in the standings. Gloat while you can Patty. You have earned it!

Kogwel Racing Back On Top

The battle for the 2nd Half Championship continues between Conrad Welbon (Kogwel Racing) and Harold Hicks (HRH Sports). Conrad took over first position again and now leads Harold by 21.06 points.
The top five posted average scores that allowed two new additions to the top five. First time Team Owner Robin Marlin (Rockin Robin345) jumped into a 3rd place tie with Keith Norton (Tanas Team) by posting a score of 1146. They trail our leader by 52.02 points.
Mike Rothe (Big Dawg Racing 2) climed into a 5th place tie with Rueben Spencer (RLR Racing). Mike has played the contest since our first season. He was in 2nd Place with one race to go in the 1st Half of the 2001 Season. He had a realistic chance to catch the leader only to have his team falter. He fell to 4th position. Not a bad finish, but hard to take when you are that close to the Championship.
In the Combined Season Scoring Championship Phil Rushing (Team Mopar) still has the lead. However Steve Meyer (Meyer-8) moved into 2nd place and trails Phil by only 101.89 points. This is the closest anyone has been to Phil in a long time.
Kogwel Racing is in 3rd position. Gary Bargsulia (Bargszilla Racing) is in 4th position 223.79 points behind the leader.
1st Half runner up Gary Jines (GaryJines) fell from 2nd to 5th, but lost only 10 points to the leader from his position after race 12. He now trails our leader by 259.9 points.
With 5 races to go in the 2nd Half of the 2002 Season it looks like both titles are up for grabs. Best wishes to all Team Owners!

New Leader After Talladega

Harold Hicks (HRH Sports) is our new leader after Talladega. Conrad Welbon (Kogwel Racing) now is in second place. No change in the third position as Keith Norton (Tanas Team) held the position.
Two new additions to the top five. Ken Trichak (dragracer) is now in fourth position. Rounding out the top five is Marta Salvage Team Owner of Salvage Yard Racing. Marta is 122 points behind our new leader.
In the Combined Season Scoring Phil Rushing (Team Mopar) now has a 249.04 point lead over Gary Jines. From second to fifth is only 30.80 points. If the leader does falter there are many who could pass him.

Kogwel Racing Lead Gone!

The race for the Second Half Championship is all but a dead heat. Just two weeks ago Conrad Welbon (Kogwel Racing) lead by 126 points. Now he has a 1.05 point lead.
Harold Hicks {HRH Sports) moved back into 2nd place. Keith Norton (Tanas Team) fell to 3rd, but gained ground on the leader. He is only 57.96 points behind Conrad.
Rueben Spencer (RLR Racing) is the the only new comer to the top 5 this week. Rueben is now in 4th place only 101 points behind our leader.
Phil Rushing (Team Mopar) continues to lead the way in the Combined season Scoring Championship. He now holds a 244.860 point lead over his first half rival Gary Jines.
