Steve Park's glory of earning the pole position was short lived on Sunday. Park veered into Ryan Newman on the backstretch sending them both to the garage for repairs. Park finished 40th. Newman 42nd.

Kurt Busch won the California 500. Bobby Labonte finished second.

Our unofficial results are now posted for California. Martinsville results are now official. Weekly Winner's checks will be mailed today.
Starting Line up Changes
4/26/2003 10:21:50 PM
We have been asked to post starting line up changes in the news section by some players. So every Saturday night we will update the line up so you can check it before the race starts on Sunday.

Ward Burton lost an engine in qualifying and will fall to the rear of the field before the start of the Auto Club 500 at California. Burton was to start 39th, using a provisional. #10-Johnny Benson (was to start 32nd) and #40-Sterling Marlin (was to start 30th) both are going to backup cars after Benson lost an engine and crashed and Marlin was involved. #37-Derrike Cope supposedly lost an engine during Happy Hour, but was starting 43rd anyway. Also #30-Jeff Green who was to start 40th and #01-Jerry Nadeau who was to start 6th, changed engines and will have to fall to the rear of the field before the green flag. That makes 6 drivers to the rear.

Talladega Results Posted

The big one happened early at Talladega. Ryan Newman cut a tire causing a massive pile up on lap four. When the smoke cleared, twenty-seven cars had been involed.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. won his fourth straight race at Talladega. There was controversy as Earnhardt went below the yellow line with three laps to go but Nascar decided he did not gain advantage so they did not black flag Earnhardt. It was a "judgement call" and they gave Earnhardt the OK.

The unofficial results for Talladega are now posted. Results from Texas are now official. Weekly Winner's checks will be mailed today.
