Combined Season Scoring Race
|
|
11/14/2003 8:44:52 AM
|
The Combined Season Championship title will be crowed at Homestead. After 35 races, (27 kept scores) Robert Walsh leads Gary Bitner by 103.14 points.
Robert will try and rebound from his troubles at North Carolina, and hold off Gary. Gary has been tough the past year and a half, and has a knack for finishing strong. The fact that he is a former champion, shows he has the experience to get the job done.
You will be able to see the complete teams of Robert and Gary as well as all of the leaders, once the green flag drops at Homestead.
In 3rd place is Clair Rowin. Clair finds himself 340.2 points behind Gary and will need a miracle to catch the leader.
In 4th position is Brett Gerber. Brett finds himself 368.01 points behind the leader. Former Champion Steve Meyer rounds out the top 5, 380.16 points behind the leader.
Rounding out the top 10 are Kevin Burkett in 6th. Former Champion Jim Evans in 7th. Tom Browne in 8th. John Gibin 9th, and David Hood 10th.
Best of luck to all of you.

New Leader, One Race Left
|
|

|
The unofficial results for North carolina are now posted. Robert Walsh lost his lead and now finds himself trailing by 119.99 points. Robert has led most of the 2nd Half. Robert still leads the Combined Season Scoring, but only by 103.14 points. The once comfortable lead in this optional part of the contest is now up for grabs.
The fight for the championship in the Main Contest, is now between Clair Rowin and Randall Hawks. The slim lead of 5.98 points will make for an exciting finish to the 2003 season.
We thought we would not see a closer finish than the 2.1 point win by Steve Meyers in the 1st Half of the 2003 Season. That record narrow margin of victory may be short lived. We will find out this weekend at Homestead, where we go to wrap up the 2003 Season.
Watch for updates on the top 10 for both Championship races later in the week. Watch the contenders compete for the championship this weekend. View the complete teams of all contenders once the green flag drops at Homestead.
Phoenix results are now official. Weekly Winner's checks will be mailed this week.
