Patrick Farley of Auburn WA, scored 1225 points on his way to victory at California. 1998 Fall Champion Larry Blair was second with a score of 1189.
In the race for the 1st Half Championship, we have a new leader. Robin Marlin of Robbinsville NJ, has a 24 point lead over Ken Broderius, who moved from 4th to 2nd. He has a slim 18 point lead over former leader Tony Pierce.
Talladega results are now official. Weekly Winner's checks will be sent out this week.

Gregg Chase of Hazlet, NJ wins his first race. Gregg posted a score of 1162. A good score for Talladega. Gary Barsuglia of Santa Rosa, CA was the runner up with 1141. Mark Jordan of Duluth GA, and Clair Rowin of Richland Center WI tied for 3rd with scores of 1137. Clair is the 2003 fall champion of the main contest. This is the first we have heard from him in 2004. At the midway point of the 1st Half of the 2004 season, Tony Pierce has increased his lead to 80 points. Troy Hipps has moved into 2nd place. Robin Marlin fell to 3rd. She is now 83 points behind the leader. Second year team owner Ken Broderius of Chewelah WA has moved into fourth, only 104 points out of 1st. Steve Charles of Murrieta CA rounds out the top 5. Steve is 108 out of 1st. From 1st to 84th is only 239 points difference. From 2nd to 84th is only 159 points. 200th position is only 425 points behind the leader and only 345 out of 2nd. Only 240 points stand between 84th position (the last Prize Winner} and 500th position. With 9 races to go in the 1st Half, alot can still happen! Martinsville results are now official. Weekly Winner's checks will be mailed this week.

Nextel All-Star Sign Up

Sign up will open tonight for the Nextel All-Star event. This is a "One Race Series" event and will not count in the standings for the main contest.
We have made a rule change this year. In the past, you had to select the exact driver who was going to transfer from the Open qualifier event. This year we have a "Open Winner Transfer" selection. All you do is select the Open Winner Transfer driver for $750,000. Whoever wins the Open will be your driver in the main event.
Registration fee is $20 per team. 3 teams for $49.95.

Englebert Wins Martinsville

First year team owner Eric Englebert of Algoma WI, was the winner at Martinsville. Eric posted a score of 1156 points. Curtis Corneil of Valparaiso, IN was 2nd with a score of 1143.
In the race for the 1st Half Championship, Tony Pierce is holding on to his lead. Tony has a slim 23 point lead over Robin Marlin of Robinsville, NJ. In 2002, Robin was near the top much of the year. Last season she was quiet. She has positioned herself well as we approach the halfway point of the 1st Half.
Longtime owner Jon Siglain of Longbeach CA finds himself in 3rd, only 4 points behind Robin. This is Jon's first appearance in the top 5.
Early leader Ted Schilling is now in 4th, only 36 points out of the lead. Rounding out the top 5, is Troy Hipps another 7 points behind Ted.
All teams with 8 races have 4 kept scores. Your 4 lowest scores have been dropped.
Texas results are now official. Weekly Winner's checks were mailed today.
Nextel All Star sign up will start later this week. Watch for a news article when sign up is open.

Busch Fun Run

With no Cup race on Easter weekend, the people in the message board decided to stage a fun event for the Busch race. They could not deal with a weekend of no fantasy racing. So Francois Bienvenu posted a message to host an unofficial event. The prizes were donated by Francois Bienvenu, Laurel Hansmann and Fantasy Thunder. 1st Place was Jimmy Spier with a score of 1063. 2nd Place went to Dennis Blaszczyk who posted a score of 996.
They awarded a last place award. James King took the honors with a score of 799.
